Hello AYSO Families,
I would like to take this
opportunity to thank all the parents, players, coaches, team parents, and
volunteers for a great fall season. It seems like only yesterday that practice
was beginning and games starting. For those of you who are wanting to play in
Socctoberfest this weekend, we need your registration forms by Tuesday at the
latest. If you have questions or still need to get your team registered contact
the Socctoberfest registrar Kendra Hale at registrar@albanyayso.org ASAP. There
are still a few open slots but its first come first served.
For those of
you who are not playing in Socctoberfest we will plan to see you for spring
season.
A few things to keep in mind over the winter break.
1.
Players remember to stay active. Work on those individual skills that you were
taught this past fall.
2. Watch your email and the AYSO region
website. We plan to offer a winter camp or two to refresh your skills during
the break.
3. Coaches and Team parents will be contacting players
towards the end of January to determine who all is planning on returning for
spring season. It is absolutely imperative that the coaches or team parents get
notified if you are returning or not. If you do not plan to return and don't
tell someone your team may end up being short players for spring season.
4. Spring registration will be in February. The spring registration is
to only fill empty slots on teams and replace players who may not be returning
for spring season.
5. Spring season practices will begin sometime
towards the end of March. Games will begin in April.
I hope all of you
have a wonderful winter break.
Duston Denver Regional
Commissioner AYSO Region 870
