World's Finest Chocolates Fundraiser:

By now you should have received your fundraising packets from World's Finest Chocolates.  We have the next 2 weeks to gather orders and payments, which need to be turned in by Saturday September 22 to your Team Parents.

We are raising money to finish grading and irrigating the fields at Timber-Linn Park.  This upgrade will make it so much better for our players and everyone who uses this park during the year, so it benefits our entire community!  The cost for this project is $50K, so we are asking each player to try and sell 10 units to help get us there.  We have some cool prizes lined up for the top sellers too!

Please ask your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors, post on social media and consider purchasing for holiday and teacher appreciation gifts.  50% of the proceeds go directly to us!

The chocolate orders will arrive within 2 weeks of being submitted, early to mid October.  The chocolates will be distributed to Team Parents, who will then distribute them to parents to give to the purchasers.

Timber Linn Memorial Park Fundraising Letter 3/7/18:

Good Afternoon AYSO Families,

Some time ago we began the development of a first class soccer park in Albany at Timber Linn Memorial Park.  We have partnered with the city of Albany to level the fields and install underground irrigation.  The first phase, or upper field, is completed with irrigation installed.

This will reduce fatigue for the players and provide a safer playing surface.  Participants and spectators for the Hot Air Balloon launch during the Air Festival will also benefit from a more level and safer field when attending the Air Festival.

We are now moving on to the second and third phases of the Timber Linn field project and raising the funds to pay for the irrigation.  The cost associated is about $60,000 and we have kicked off the campaign to raise these funds!

As an all-volunteer organization, AYSO Region 870 needs your help to continue this project!  We have set up a GoFundMe page to make it easier to donate.  Below are the ways to get there, please share this with friends and family, neighbors, pets, etc.

Find us on Facebook: AYSO Region 870 - Click on the “Donate” button.

GoFundMe: gofundme.com/improve-timber-linn-park-fields

Region Website: www.ayso870.org - click on the Fundraising tab.

Other ways to donate: Did you know you can turn your volunteer hours into donations?  Several companies in the region have programs where your volunteer hours for a non-profit, like AYSO, can be turned into a donation to that non-profit.

For example Walmart has the Volunteerism Always Pays (VAP) program, ATI Metals has a similarly named program, and HP has HPI Inspires Giving through Benevity.

We will be having a fundraising event during the upcoming Spring Season as well!  The item we are selling will be First Aid Kits!

Thank You,
Aaron Falotico
